READING TUTORING IN NWA
Reading instruction at Ozark Dyslexia Services is designed to support students at any point on their reading journey—whether or not a formal diagnosis of dyslexia has been made. Every student benefits from instruction that is explicit, sequential, and grounded in the science of reading. During our initial consultation, I assess each student's strengths and areas of need, as well as any academic or behavioral concerns. From there, I create a personalized instructional plan tailored to your child’s learning style and goals. The result is focused support that builds foundational skills, strengthens comprehension, and fosters lasting confidence.
DYSLEXIA INTERVENTION IN NWA
For students diagnosed with dyslexia or exhibiting characteristics of dyslexia, I offer intensive, research-based intervention practices that target the root causes of reading difficulty. I take a best practices approach to reading intervention. No two students are the same, so why should their intervention be the same? Your student will build phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, vocabulary, handwriting, and reading comprehension skills in a structured, systematic way. Through this comprehensive approach, students gain the tools they need to decode language effectively—and begin reading with fluency, understanding, and confidence.
PARENT SUPPORT & HOMESCHOOL GUIDANCE
In addition to direct instruction, I offer support for parents seeking to help their children thrive at home or in a homeschool setting. Whether you're just beginning to explore reading intervention or you're looking for guidance on how to reinforce skills outside of tutoring sessions, I can help you create a clear, manageable plan tailored to your child’s needs.
As both a parent and educator, I’ve seen firsthand how effective and empowering it can be when parents take an active role in their child’s learning. My goal is to equip you with the tools, strategies, and confidence you need to support your child’s reading development every step of the way.
DYSLEXIA EVALUATION
Comprehensive dyslexia evaluations are available. This evaluation can help better understand your student's specific strengths and weaknesses in reading and can be provided to your child's school to justify school-based intervention services.
Evaluations are by appointment only at my office in Bella Vista, AR. Please plan approximately 3 hours for this assessment.
