Reading instruction at Ozark Dyslexia Services is designed to support students at any point on their reading journey—whether or not a formal diagnosis of dyslexia has been made. Every student benefits from instruction that is explicit, sequential, and grounded in the science of reading. During our initial consultation, I assess each student's strengths and areas of need, as well as any academic or behavioral concerns. From there, I create a personalized instructional plan tailored to your child’s learning style and goals. The result is focused support that builds foundational skills, strengthens comprehension, and fosters lasting confidence.

DYSLEXIA INTERVENTION IN NWA

For students diagnosed with dyslexia or exhibiting characteristics of it, I offer intensive, research-based intervention that targets the root causes of reading difficulty. I use EBLI (Evidence-Based Literacy Instruction), a speech-to-print approach that reduces cognitive load while developing essential literacy skills. This method integrates explicit instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, vocabulary, handwriting, and reading comprehension in a structured, systematic way. Through this comprehensive approach, students gain the tools they need to decode language effectively—and begin reading with fluency, understanding, and confidence.

In addition to direct instruction, I offer support for parents seeking to help their children thrive at home or in a homeschool setting.
